Hi guys I hope every one had a great xmas and new year.
Now its the start of the new year what are we going to do to help dads in Little Hulton?
The competition was amazing, went really well and the turn out from Little Hulton families was great.
Now we need ideas for engaging other dads and getting them involved with the project?
What fun event ideas do you have?
We still want to know off more dads what are the issues you face as a father?

Hi John
Some of the guys met on Friday and brainstormed some ideas to get local dads together and discuss what would help them:
These might be on a Saturday and we'd aim to start at half term
Family swim at Fit City Walkden (including swim for those children with autism as a separate session)
B&Q DIY activity session for kids and dads
Themed dads and kids sessions at Sure Start
Bowling
Trips to local attractions
Piggy backing onto school, housing etc events
So any dads out there tell us what appeals!

Hi Heather don't forget the discussion on names, The dads want and need a set I stone name for them selves now and come up with some great ones.

And I got a txt off a granddad over the weekend saying he likes Salford Dads.
I like them all to be honest what do you all think?
Have you got a good idea?
We had a meeting of local dads on Friday in the library and the dads think we need some more events for parents and children. They thought of things like bowling and swimming days out.
Putting a fun dad and child event on in the school holidays in February. Also starting a Saturday club up possibly at the sure start for dads to bring their kids to.
What do you think of these ideas guys?
